Astros Jr. Fall OUTDOOR and Jr. Fall/Winter INDOOR Programs - REGISTRATION OPEN

Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2023 Fall Outdoor Junior Program – https://www.astrosfieldhockey.com/forms/13244-Astros-Junior-Registration

There are TWO programs available:

  • 2023 Fall OUTDOOR CJFH Program – Runs September & October
  • 2023-24 Fall and Winter INDOOR Program – Runs September – December, January – March

2023 FALL OUTDOOR CJFH – U12, U14, U16/U19

  • PRACTICES – Tuesdays (7pm – 9:30pm), Wednesdays (7:30pm – 9:30pm) at U of C Hawkings Field
  • Practices start September 5, 2023
  • GAMES – Sundays at U of C Hawkings Field, starting September 10th
  • U12s will be 6v6 (quarter-field games), U14s will be 7v7 (half-field games) and U16s will be 7v7 (half-field games)
    • Fall Festival on October 29th
    • Last practice will be October 25, 2023
    • Cost is approx. $300 (we are waiting for confirmation regarding CJFH fees)
    • You will receive an invoice via TeamSnap to submit payment

2023 FALL OUTDOOR PROGRAM – REGISTRATION STEPS

  1. Astros U12, U14, U16 / New-U18s Registration – https://www.astrosfieldhockey.com/forms/13244-Astros-Junior-Registration
  2. 2023-24 FHA/FHC Membership (choose JUNIOR) – FHA/FHC Membership and Insurance
  3. Experienced U18 athletes may complete the regular Astros registration – https://www.astrosfieldhockey.com/forms/11087-Astros-Club-Registration
  4. FunStix should register on the FHA website – http://fieldhockey.ab.ca/content/fall-2023-funstix-u10-and-u12-programs

2023-24 FALL/WINTER INDOOR PROGRAM – U14, U16, U18

  • PRACTICES – Thursdays (7:30pm – 9:30pm) at U of C Gold Gym
  • Practices start September 21, 2023
  • BOOT CAMP – Saturday, October 21, 2023 (11am – 2pm) at MNP Centre, Gyms 2 & 3
  • PRE-SEASON SCRIMMAGE – Saturday, October 28th (2pm – 5pm) at MNP Centre, Gyms 2 & 3
  • GAMES – Sundays at U of C Hawkings Field, starting November 5, 2023
  • FALL MIXED UP MINI-TOURNAMENT – Saturday, December 10, 2023 at MNP Centre, Gyms 2 & 3
    • Indoor practice fees are paid directly to U of C Active Living
    • Fee for Indoor Boot Camp, League Games, Mini-Tournament is approx. $300
    • You will receive an invoice via TeamSnap to submit payment

PLAYERS WILL NEED

  • To wear T-shirt, shorts, and running shoes
  • Shin guards (soccer ones will be fine to start), mouth guard (MANDATORY; available at Sport Chek), water bottle
