Astros Field Hockey Club

Hello Astrosfield Hockey Members,

As you may or may not know, the CLFHA raises funds to help develop and grow our field hockey community through casinos, and we have one coming up. Volunteers are the key feature for casinos, and that is where all of you come in.

Our casino is scheduled for July 5th (Saturday) and 6th (Sunday) at the Elbow River Casino. The shift times are from 10:30am- 6:45pm and 6:15pm- 3:15am. The count room shift runs from 10pm-3:15am.

If you are able to volunteer for to help out at this casino it would be excellent. Remember, we can only hold casinos if we have enough volunteers! Astros FHC volunteers will receive a $75 credit towards their outdoor or indoor fees.

Please respond via email to clfhacasino@gmail.com with your first and second choice of position and shift using the CLFHA Volunteer Form.

The positions for the casino and descriptions are as follows:

• GENERAL MANAGER - Oversees the running of the casino, makes sure that all volunteers are present and contacts backups if needed. As the name implies, this person oversees, but also does a little bit of everything else at the end of the night.
• BANKER - looks after the cash and chip inventory CASHIER (2 per shift) - are in charge of giving people their winnings.
• CHIP RUNNER (2 per shift) - run chips to the tables from the cashiers. Also open and close the tables with casino staff at the end of the night.

• COUNT ROOM SUPERVISOR - Oversees the countroom at the end of the night.
• COUNT ROOM STAFF (4 per shift- evening only) - count the money at the end of the night.
